It was reported that Jeff and Hadley had been seeing each other for over 10 years until they called it quits circa 2020. But as per sources at the company there “hadn’t been a whisper of an affair” involving Jeff around the company. “Barely anybody knew there was even an investigation,” said an insider, “and even fewer knew there had actually been an affair.”
Obviously, everyone was surprised to learn Jeff had an affair with an employee, thanks to which, he had to resign as the CEO of NBCU in April 2023. After resigning, Jeff released a statement saying, “I had an inappropriate relationship with a woman in the company, which I deeply regret. I’m truly sorry I let my Comcast and NBCUniversal colleagues down.”
He had been with the company for decades and only became CEO in 2020.
Jeff’s resignation came a month after Hadley lodged a complaint against him and the matter went all the way to Comcast Chairman and CEO Brian Roberts through the proper channels.
