Enough with young romance! Now, it’s time for older ladies to find love. Premiering December 5, 2022, Back in the Groove, sees three ladies Sparkle Hyche, Steph Michaels, and Brooke Mora, all over the age of 40, as they connect with their youthful side and date younger men.
The show checks them into “The Groove Hotel, a magical resort on the beautiful island of the Dominican Republic,” and there, the ladies are joined by suitors half their age.
Super excited to let her fans in on her love life, Sparkle even took to her IG to share a promo clip from Back in the Groove, captioned, “Y’all!!??? Get ready for the hottest December ever I’m ready for my stay at The Groove Hotel! I hope y’all are tooooooo!!! I’ll meet you at check-in on December 5, only on @hulu!”
Who Is Sparkle Hyche Baby Father?
Sparkle Hyche didn’t reveal his name but she was married to her baby father. Sadly, the two didn’t last long and divorced before 2000.
Now, her son is already in his 20s and often makes it to Sparkle’s socials — playing the keys or dancing. Yes, Sparkle’s little one, MJ, or “Peanut” as Sparkle likes to call him, is into music.
“He has really matured over the last year. It’s amazing how fast he grew up. I have been practicing calling him MJ sometime I slip, and he correct’s me,” Sparkle’s mother said.

A celebrity stylist, entrepreneur, author, and visionary, Sparkle discovered her love for glamour when she was just 8. Thereafter, she began sewing doll clothes and weaves for her family, and once she turned eleven, her work was so impressive that friends and church members began to hire her.
As she turned adult, Sparkle then further honed her skills working in a salon with multicultural clients, and in 2006, she opened her first salon in Midtown Atlanta, called Static Salon. Naturally, her work started to catch the attention of local production companies, and they hired her as a stylist for music videos and indie films.
In April 2008, Sparkle then launched her second beauty salon named Salon 422 focusing on the lifestyle, mind, body, and spirit of a woman, through materials and products. And now, the salon has developed a diverse clientele. From being the image consultant for the Atlanta Dream to handling the beauty needs of cast members on Bravo TV’s Married to Medicine or working with Olympic Gold Medalist and World Champion, Francena McCorory, Sparkle’s brand continues to soar.
Also, not to mention, Sparkle’s talent has earned her multiple awards and honors including Atlanta Magazine’s Woman of Power and Influence, Phat Girl Fresh Lifestyle Honoree, and the cover of Glambitious Magazine.
Salon 422 offered services like Color, Weaving, Haircuts, Natural, Custom Wig Care, and Consultation. But sadly, she recently closed her salon after a successful 17 years stint. “Although I won’t be in the salon anymore, I’ll still be doing a lot of the same things like working in front and behind the scenes, raising my man child, managing products and inventory, and still serving my community,” she said.

Sparkle Hyche comes from a family of six — her parents, Donny and Dallis Evans, herself, and her three siblings.
Sadly, her father Donny passed away in July 2020 at the age of 65. He was an ex-military who later worked for GE, Metal Lakes, East Coast Total Maintenance, and his best friend Lenny’s moving company.
Likewise, her sister has long passed away.
As for her mother, Dallis turned 74 in May 2022.
According to the star, her mother has a green thumb. She grew all types of plants, natural roots, and aloe that they used for homeopathic wellness. “She took me to the theatre and fancy dinners…when I’m sure we couldn’t afford to. My mom was amazing and did her best to keep me balanced despite my environment,” Sparkle recalled.
