Maddy Hughes On Netflix’s Blown Away Season 3
Blown Away on Netflix has added a bunch of expert glassblowers for season 3. As these competitors attempt to fight to become the “best in glass,” the competition is likely to be fierce. 2019 saw the debut of the show’s inaugural season on television. Since then, the program’s popularity has made it possible for it to air holiday-themed seasons in the future.
One of the cast members in the performance, Maddy Hughes, entered the contest full of confidence. She is ready to “flex her conceptual muscles” on Blown Away. Trenton Quiocho, Rob Stern, Claire Kelly, John Moran, Dan Friday, Brenna Baker, Minhi England, John Sharvin, and Grace Whiteside are among the other nine competitors who will be competing alongside him.

Maddy Hughes Career/Work
Maddy Hughes showed an early propensity for the arts.
By the time she graduated from secondary school, fine art had been her main emphasis, and while pursuing a foundation diploma in the subject at the Arts University, Bournemouth, Maddy fell in love with three-dimensional work. Madeleine finished a course at the Creative Glass Guild in Bristol and was inspired by the plasticity of glass, especially the wide variety of colors that can be achieved through the interaction with light and reflections.
She was then eager to learn more about the medium. She soon enrolled in a glass blowing taster class at London Glassblowers under the instruction of Louis Thompson and was captivated by the captivating properties of molten glass.
Maddy worked full-time for a year as an assistant to Martin Andrews, at his glass blowing workshop in Stourbridge. She also served as an assistant to Stephen Foster during a demonstration at Art in Action. Her resume also includes assisting the ‘Bandits of Glass’ at an open day demonstration at the University of Wolverhampton.
Maddy is currently working as a full-time assistant and glassblower for Allister Malcolm at Allister Malcolm Glass Ltd, and selling her own work.
Talking about showcasing her work, Maddy did a solo exhibition for 6 weeks at The Zetter Hotel in London in 2019. Her work is also put on display at the White House Cone Museum of Glass, Stourbridge, Stourbridge Glass Museum, Crazy Cafe, Penarth, and Red House Glass Museum in Stourbridge.
