Blown Away first came to screens in 2019 and was renewed for further seasons as well as festive spin-off series. And so, in the process, its third season kicked off on 22 July 2022. A group of new skilled glass blowers returned to take part in this Netflix competition and Minhi England, whom we are going to talk about in the rest of the writing, was one of them.

Minhi England went on Netflix’s Blown Away because her husband Jesse made him do that. Apparently, it was Jesse’s last request for Minhi to go on reality tv.
Speaking of her game plan, Minhi says she likes to pretend she’s not very competitive and loves being underestimated as it makes her work harder.
Hyping the show on social media just around the premiere, Minhi wrote about it all. She seemed excited to share the screen with some of the glass world’s heaviest hitters, all competing for the title, Best In Glass.
Minhi and nine other glass artists came to North America’s largest hot shop to push themselves to their creative limits for Blown Away.
In each episode, the glassblowers must impress the Evaluators or risk being eliminated. And when they win a stake, it is a life-changing prize that will send their careers to new heights.
The show is hosted by Nick Uhas, with Resident Evaluator and Glass Master Katherine Gray.
Minhi England Career/Work
Minhi England is a glass memorial artist who as per LinkedIn has been working as an intermediate glassblowing instructor at Pratt Fine Arts Center since March 2019.
At the same time, Minhi also continued overseeing product development and design at Artful Ashes since January 2016.
Also in recent times, following Netflix’s Blown Away, Minhi went on to demonstrate her skills at Seattle Glass Experience Demonstration – “Refract” Seattle Glassblowing Studio.
Speaking of her education, Minhi studied Regents Diploma at Carthage Central High School from 2002 through 2006. Then, for the next four years, she studied BFA in Glassblowing, Metal Casting, and Art History at Alfred University.

Minhi England Husband
Minhi England married Jesse England on 5 September 2020 wearing a $30 dress and a pair of thrifted cowboy boots that she purchased on her first trip to Texas to visit Jesse. It was a small pandemic wedding in the woods, officiated by our dear friend Shannon Brunskill, Minhi recalled a year later in February.
Minhi never really dreamt of a big wedding day as a little girl. So, it did not really make any difference. That day they got married, the bride and groom signed the papers. And when asked if she was taking Jesse’s family name, her immediate gut reaction was “No, absolutely not.” But she still adopted Jesse’s last name and this change was a big step for him.
What Do We Know About Minhi England Husband Death?
It’s true that Minhi England’s husband Jesse is no longer alive. On 13 December 2021, Minhi took to her Instagram to write long heartfelt writing as the day marked the 7-month milestone of his passing.
Jesse passed away peacefully at the Gene & Irene Wockner Hospice Center in Kirkland on 10 May 2021 after a long struggle with peripheral nerve sheath cancer. Born on 2 September 1983 in Emporia, Kansas to Ken and Debbie England of Council Grove, he was 38 years old at the time of his death.
He is survived by Minhi and his parents and is preceded in death by grandparents Allen and Lois Beck of Hutchinson, Kansas, and Glenn and Phyllis England of Council Grove, Kansas.
Minhi and Jesse did not have any kids.
Like Minhi, Jesse was an accomplished, professional glassblower. But, he often expressed himself through other “blue collar” materials such as torch-cut steel and chainsaw-carved wood. He was a 2002 graduate of Council Grove High School. Shortly after high school, he landed upon glass art. In 2007, he received a BFA in Sculpture and Glass from Emporia State University. Thereafter, eager to pursue his passion, he went on to earn Masters of Fine Arts degree in Sculpture and Glass at the University of Texas in 2013.
