Stacey Osorio On N*ked And Afraid: Last One Standing
Stacey Osorio knows how to deal with the wilderness and maybe even win the new franchise of N*ked And Afraid called Last One Standing. She competed in N*ked And Afraid XL (2014) and survived nine days in Croatia’s Pannonian basin before producers from the show called an end to her role in the episode.
A man and a woman are left in a distant location to live together for 21 days without access to food, water, a fire, or clothing in the Discovery Channel reality TV series. Osorio was asleep on day seven when a kettle of hot water dropped on her, scorching 10% of her body. Producers determined it was too unsafe for her to continue because of the infection risk.
They did, however, extend an invitation for her to come back for N*ked and Afraid XL (2016), in which 12 contestants from the previous season’s episodes cohabitate for 40 days in the South African bush. The summer season of the 10-episode television series begins on Sunday.
Stacey who watched her appearance on the TV with her family described the experience as “Nerve-wracking” and “terrible”.
In a head-to-head, multiphase challenge, 12 A-list N*ked and Afraid survivalists compete for $100,000 and the title of Last One Standing. The show premiered on 7 May on the Discovery channel.
About her latest, appearance for Last One Standing, she told The Daily World, “After each of the two other shows, I always made the joke that I was retired whenever the producers would call to try and get me to return. But it’s hard to keep turning down a new challenge.”
Due to contractual obligations, Stacey was unable to provide many details about her most recent project for N*ked and Afraid, which sees 12 survivalists battling it out for 45 days in South Africa’s Oribi Gorge for the chance to win $100,000. However, she didn’t hesitate to declare that her most difficult expedition was the first one.
Despite the seven-year gap between Stacey’s participation in “N*ked and Afraid XL” and the start of filming for “N*ked and Afraid: Last One Standing” in September 2022, Osorio compared her experiences to therapy.
“It doesn’t matter how tough you are, the first week simply sucks. You’re trying to get adjusted to the environment, survive from the wildlife, and work with the people around you. But there becomes a point where it almost feels like a vision quest,” Stacey explained. “I’ve never felt more connected with the world than when I was on those shows. Your main entertainment is watching the stars at night, and you don’t have time to care about the dumb drama happening in the world. I could only describe it as being like getting buck-n*ked during a rainstorm and just lying on the grass and relaxing for five or 10 minutes.”

Per her father’s obituary, James died on 4 January 2016 at the age of 62. He was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Nov. 12, 1953, to Wayne “Bud” Kirchoff and Jean Vopalka, both of Cedar Rapids. Jim served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1971 to 1974 during the Vietnam era along with many young men. He was only 17 years old when he was off on his first adventure in life.
Jim owned his own business, Kirchoff Communications, a cable utility contractor in Hesperia, Calif. He was CEO of an operation with a fleet of trucks and many employees.
Stacey Osorio’s parents (James and Sally) met his wife in California. They were married for 27 years (tied the knot on 25 June 1988).
Jim and Sally moved to Stites, Idaho, in 2007. Jim started working for the city of Stites in 2009 as a city maintenance supervisor. He really loved his job up until the very end. He served on the Stites Volunteer Fire Department and was an EMT.
