HGTV Kristin Leitheuser is the daughter of Don Leitheuser and Bonnie Leitheuser. The Leitheusers welcomed their daughter in June 1989.

Frederick C. Brandt Jr. and Joan B. Decker are Bonnie’s parents. She lost her one brother Frederick C. Brandt III who died on 24 February 2011 at the age of 59.
Frederick lived much of his childhood in the Poughkeepsie region, where he attended Arlington Central School District. He served in the US Marine Corps in Camp LeJuene, North Carolina. He spent several years working at IBM, but his love of flying brought him to Richmor Aviation, where he is now employed.
