Madison Taylor Baez’s parents are Mary And Chris Baez. They are her inspirations and her biggest supporters. Infact, it was Madison’s father who introduced her to music.
According to the star, she was 3 years older when he dad inspired her to learn to play piano and also develop her big and soulful voice singing voice — memorizing 100s of songs by shuffling through her father’s iTunes. She would sing all day long, everywhere and anywhere, and for anyone who would listen.
So, acknowledging her passion, her father then got her a small pink electronic play piano for Christmas. And after about a week of her banging on the keys and making noise, her parents one day family started hearing actual notes and music being played from her playroom.
“My wife and I heard the toy piano playing in the other room and we both stopped and looked at each other with shock!! We then went into her playroom and there she was playing with her little electronic toy piano. We were even more stunned by how she was sitting, positioning her hands, and playing with her fingers,” her father recalled.
Shortly after, her parents then bought her a baby grand piano, and thereon, Madison taught herself how to play and read sheet music.

AGT Madison Taylor Baez’s father Chris is everything to her. No wonder, after Chris was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer, Madison had a life-changing event that had a dramatic impact and defined the development of her singing voice.
Watching her father endure the struggles of battling cancer, Madison would often sing to him in the hospital throughout his many hospital stays and years of chemo treatments. Even while recovering at home, the child star would always be by his sing with a song.
Thanks to her years of singing, and 9 major surgeries over 7 years, Chris is cancer-free now.
“My Medicine that keeps me fighting every day. I am alive still to this day because of her love & gifts. Maddie was 3 when I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and I was not given much of a chance to live beyond 3 years. It was also at the same time Maddie began singing to me all the time because she saw that it helped her daddy feel better. She has never stopped and I’m still here 8 years later thriving and she is a Star!! Coincidence I think not,” Chris explained his journey.
