HGTV’s Good Bones has primarily been about the mother-daughter duo, Karen Laine and Mina Starsiak Hawk, and them remodeling the houses. On 9 June 2023, HGTV’s Thadeus Tad Starsiak took to his IG @the_demogod to share what happened in his life in the past month. And the first thing he said was he “asked” the love of his life, his best friend Anna Spiars to marry him.
“I’m so excited to keep doing life with you, being weird, growing closer, and loving you more every single day. Thank you for being life’s greatest blessing baby. Thank you for all of your support in every realm of my life. ❤️”, he lovingly wrote. Also, he said, in addition to their engagement, he and Anna finished renovating their dream home in Bates Hendricks. According to him, they are all moved in now.
This was however not Thadeus’s first time mentioning Anna on his social media posts. Many a time in the past he had done that. And his people on social media, even his HGTV fans have known her to be his girlfriend for some time now.
Most recently, on 30 May 2023, the two celebrated their anniversary. On that day, Anna also took to her social media a series of pictures from their celebration and next to it wrote “Happy anniversary, darling 🤍 You are everything I dreamed.”
Having said that, the couple entering the Mr & Mrs era is yet to tell the world when they are finally getting married.
Before Anna, Tad was said to be in a long-term relationship with a lady named Chrissy. Tad’s sweet Valentine’s Day post about her no longer exists on his IG.
Tad, the Indiana University alum, in these days, is believed to be working as the project manager for Two Chicks and a Hammer. He has actually been involved in demolitions since the age of 8. House flipping happened only later.

Just on 6 April 2023, Anna’s family mourned the loss of her paternal grandfather Early Wilkerson Spiars. He passed at the age of 88, with his wife, Jackie, by his side. The elderly was a Bachelor of Arts graduate from Old Dominion University. He also did his MBA while stationed at Camp Pendleton.
Speaking of Anna’s maternal grandparents, the grandmother Irene Swantek passed in September 2007 at the age of 80 after a brief battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband Hubert “Hub” Swantek in January 1994. They were natives of Columbus Township of Michigan.
