The “The Professionals” season of Bake Off has premiered. On July 4th, 2023, the new season made its debut, giving fans a delicious surprise. Teams of contestants are competing in a team of two, and in this article, we’ll talk about Mustapha and Tracy.
Mustapha, a Taekwondo black belt for the Moroccan national team, first entered Bake Off: The Professionals in 2018, but sadly left in the first round – but now he is back to win.
This time he is joined by demi chef de partie Tracy, who moved to the UK from Hong Kong with her family and beloved cat in 2022. A previous aeronautical student, she has now turned her eye from the exacting precision needed for a pilot to that of pâtisserie, with Mustapha as her mentor.
Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden will judge once more, while Liam Charles will join them as hosts once more. The star of Ted Lasso and the most recent season of Strictly Come Dancing, Ellie Taylor, will be his co-presenter this time around.

Mustapha
Mustapha is an experienced pastry chef with a demonstrated history of working in the Hospitality industry. He is skilled in Catering, Hospitality Management, Menu Development, Culinary Skills, and Hospitality Industry.
The pastry chef describes his cooking as a “classic cooking style as both clean and unique”. He likes to combine unusual flavors to create an unexpected yet tasty dessert. Growing up he was surrounded by spices and different types of mini-pastries. As a child, he was always baking and experimenting with new recipes with his mum but he never thought that one day he would be a pastry chef.
Mustapha has also always loved watching cooking shows on TV. One of my biggest inspirations and influences has been chefs like Gary Rhodes.
According to his LinkedIn, Mustapha worked as a head pastry chef at Boulangerie Jade from 2017 to 2018. After that, he started working at Searcys as Head Pastry Chef from 2018 to 2022.
He is now working as a Head Pastry Chef at The Butchers Social since March 2022.
Mustapha was trained at Le Cordon Bleu London () and London South Bank University ().
