On July 4, 2023, Naira shared how grateful and honored she felt to be a part of Bake Off: The Professionals 2023. Andrea expressed likewise enthusiasm and privilege to be in the same room baking with super talented chefs coming from around the world.
The duo first met when Andrea attended one of the Naira’s baking courses. It was at that time the two realized their shared love for their home country Brazil, baking, and strong faith in God.
Episode 1 of the show aired on July 4th and to recap it, viewers saw Nicolette and Georgina spend their spare time practicing mindfulness through the medium of puppy yoga; Jenny laughing when judges Cherish and Benoit couldn’t get their knife into Martyn and Jenny’s opera cakes; Andrew and Ralph using a spirit level to make sure their reimagining of the banoffee pie was exactly right; and many more.
Martyn and Jenny unfortunately became the first duo to be eliminated. During the reimagining of the banoffee pie, the two were unable to get bananas to stick to the tree.
Naira And Andrea Career
Coming from eclectic careers, Naira and Andrea both run their own independent specialist cake businesses.
Naira purchased a cake business named Fest Cake London in 2022 and named it Naira Cake Supplies. A long-time baker, Naira is also a professor and mentor to many confectionary professionals all around the world, including Naira.
Some of the best-selling products of Naira Cake Supplies are 70mm Sphere Chocolate Mould in 3-Part, Geometric Heart Chocolate Mould in 3-Part, Sphere 50mm – 3-Part Mould, and Large Bear – 3 Part Chocolate Mould.
On the other hand, Andrea started her cake business, Cake Path, in November 2019. Prior to that, she worked as a Teacher and Interpreter at Nations School and Ministry. Other past jobs of hers include working as Bilingual Secretary at Copebras and as English Teacher at Tower Hill Idiomas.
On the education front, Andrea self-taught Bakery. She also studied Modern Language at Universidade Catolica de Santos.
In the story of Cake Path, Andrea shared that her mother would cook with her in Brazil. As she grew older, she began to make food herself for people at different events near her home.
In the late 2010s, she turned her passion for making food into a full-time business, making bespoke cakes and treats for delivery to clientele in the local area.
A Brazilian by heart, Andrea still prepares traditional Brazilian-style delicacies.

Naira was reportedly born before 1980. That way, her age was at least 42 at the time of this writing. On the other hand, her student at one time, Andrea’s age was around 38 in July 2023, considering she was born before 1985.
The Cake Path founder celebrated her birthday in April 2021. On April 21, 2021, she thanked everyone who helped make her birthday special. “Blessed beyond words!
