Fan-favorite and famous meteorologist Brandon Roux is no longer being seen at Detroit’s WDIV’s Local 4 News. Just on 2 July 2023, he took to the internet to announce his departure. After 13 years with Local 4 News, Brandon Roux’s announcement of departure from WDIV-TV (Channel 4) was made just hours before his final broadcast. Before this, he had taken to social media to encourage viewers to tune in to him one last time.
So, following Sunday morning’s weather report, Brandon said his goodbyes before being noticeably cut off. He goes on to explain some of his concerns and is cut-off mid-sentence. The broadcast is then seen cutting to a promo for Channel 4’s “Flashpoint” public affairs program with Devin Scillian. Why this happened, is still a puzzle.
At Local 4, Brandon was an important part of the 4Warn Weather Team. He reported the weather for the Local 4 News Mornings every weekend. during his tenure, he received many awards in weather reporting, including the 2009 Associated Press Award for Outstanding Weather Operation and Best Weather Continuing Coverage.

As for siblings, Brandon only has a sister now. She is Allison Roux Collins, a Saint Charles, Illinois dweller. His other sister Kendra E. Bellew (nee Roux) is no more. She was 49 when she passed away unexpectedly on 12 August 2017 in Bartlett. Kendra was a graduate of the University of Montana and a lover of beaches, music, and animals.
