David Dall is the son of Jes Jessen Dall III and Clare James Dall.
Jes graduated from Taft School and Cornell University. He was a decorated veteran of WWII where he served in the “Super 6th” 231st heavy artillery division during the Battle of the Bulge and across Europe.
Jes worked at Union Carbide for many years and participated in the chemical engineering of several components utilized by NASA during the Apollo program in the 60s. Following in his father’s footsteps, Jes became a custom home builder 34 years ago and started Clarke Builders, Inc., and was also the past chairman of Scholz Design.
Sadly, Jes died on 17 March 2009 in Stuart, Florida, at the age of 88. Before his dad died, David’s brother Jon Dall left behind two children; Taylor and Brooke Dall of Frankfort, Michigan.
His mom, Clare died on 26 March 2012. She passed peacefully and with the grace of complications due to late-stage Alzheimer’s disease.
