Let’s get to know the researcher better as this Dr Mostafa Waziri Bio proceeds.

Dr Mostafa Waziri On Netflix’s Unknown: The Lost Pyramid

Netflix’s Unknown: The Lost Pyramid featured two archeologists, Dr Mostafa and his teacher Dr Zahi Hawass. The former sought an unlooted tomb in an ancient necropolis while the latter hunted for the long-lost pyramid of a forgotten Egyptian king in a “patch of open desert.”

But this wasn’t a race. It didn’t matter who made a discovery first. Dr Zahi Hawass simply wanted “the next big find” to be “made by Egyptians.”

“From unearthing the world’s oldest graveyard to a heart-pounding look at the use of artificial intelligence in warfare, get ready to embark on a thrilling expedition that will broaden your horizons and awaken the adventurer within,” the show’s official synopsis read.

Now, talking about Dr Mostafa’s adventure on the show, his team first discovered the entrance of an intact tomb consisting of coffins. Upon entering it, they found several statues that the ancient Egyptians used as magical protection, and they needed to remove the statues before uncovering the coffins. After over 10 days of the restoration process, they then came across strange artifacts that they had not seen before — which to this date are unknown.

So, after removing the statues, they finally uncovered the wooden coffin in the tomb. The discovered coffined belonged to an individual named Ahmose, and it had a bronze protector statue of a cat. Also, on the chest of the mummified body was a gold amulet of a bird with a human head and a well-preserved papyrus.

After three weeks of the restoration process, it was founded that the 16-meter-long papyrus belonged to “The Book of Death.” It provided an in-depth account of ancient Egypt and could potentially affect our understanding of Egyptian beliefs.

Now, the papyrus is named The Waziri Paper, in honor of its discoverer Dr Mostafa Waziri.
