Meet Christopher And Holly Liechty, Parents To Girl Named Tom Members!

Christopher Liechty and Holly Liechty are best known as the parents of ‘The Voice’ 2021 winner of ‘Girl Named Tom’ sibling trio band. Caleb, Joshua, and Bekah are three siblings who shared a passion for music.

They both enjoyed music and played individually, but it was their mother Holly’s idea to establish a band together. She advised her children to take a year off and pursue their ambitions of becoming artists by doing something creative. Their decision to pursue music was also influenced by their father’s health. He probably never expected that all three of them would pursue music as a career. The band’s name was inspired by a family memory.

About the band name, Joshua used to give everyone, including their dog, nicknames when he was younger. After Bekah was born, Josh began referring to her as Thomas, and the band’s moniker, ‘Girl Named Tom,’ was born. The group focuses on acoustic music with a focus on harmonies.

Josh is a drummer, Caleb is a guitarist, and Bekah is a skilled keyboardist. They released a five-song EP in 2019 and embarked on a year-long tour in 2020.

The Liechty family attends Archbold, Ohio’s Zion Mennonite Church. Christopher is also a member of the Spiritual Leadership Team in Zion Mennonite Church. He is also an ordained minister of American Marriage Ministries.

Christopher was born to Wayne J. Liechty and Loveda Liechty. He has two sisters Shirlyn Graber and her husband, Randal, of Crawfordsville, Iowa, and Ellen Lehman and her husband, Neil, of Johnstown, Pennsylvania.

Fact: Christopher has chordoma, a rare cancer of the spine, according to Archbold Buckeye.

Girl Named Tom’s mom is Holly Beth Hollenberg Liechty has a LinkedIn profile, claiming to be the Liechty family’s house manager. Chris and Holly both attended Goshen College and graduated in 1988. She attended Winamac Community High School and hailed from Winamac, Indianan.

Holly was born to Dr. Edward Lowell Hollenberg and Jean Harrison. Her parents married on 4 February 1951. She was one of the six children born to her parents. Moreover, her siblings and respective spouses are Stephen (Kathleen) Hollenberg of Goshen, Sherri (Galen) Plank of Archbold, Ohio, Lori (Phil) Bontrager of Archbold, Ohio, Jeneen (David) Almdale of Ft. Furthermore, her father helped to establish the Pulaski Memorial Hospital in 1963 and later helped establish the coronary care and ambulance units. Later, he was inducted into the American Academy of Family Practice in 1972, served on the Indiana Medical Licensing Board from 1975-1979, wrote three books, and was awarded the Sagamore of the Wabash Award from Governor Otis Bowen.
