A few weeks before The Sun exclusively revealed Sugar Bear’s new girlfriend’s identity, he took to Instagram to confirm the relationship with his fans. He told he “loves her to death” and eventually went on to say he is “in a serious committed relationship.”
Former TLC star further said that he’s going to “see where this relationship goes” and maybe one day “go for it.” He then added, “Yes, she is my girlfriend, her name is Heather. I hope you all can back me on this and let Sugar Bear be happy for a change.”
In mid-May, Heather also shared pictures of her and Sugar Bear in her socials. She gushed over Sugar Bear in one post announcing their relationship to her fans and followers. She wrote, “Let me introduce you to this amazing person! He gets me He is so loving, devoting, and patient with me He is my calm and makes me feel good from the inside and out He is such a kind and gentle soul!… Thank you for coming into my life at a point where I felt hopeless! Two years later, he met his second wife, Jennifer Lamb. The two got engaged in October 2016 and exchanged wedding vows in a backyard ceremony in January 2017. His daughter Alana Honey Boo Thompson walked him through the aisle.
