Jo Yoong-jae On Netflix’s Single’s Inferno Season 2
Rejoice K-drama lovers, Netflix’s Single’s Inferno season 2 is back. It dropped on December 13, 2022, and just after the first round, several star influencers looking for love were introduced. Amongst them, Jo Yoong-jae quickly caught the fans’ attention with his charming looks and kind soul. And it wasn’t just the fans mesmerized by the charmer. His co-contestants Choi Seo-Eun, Park Se Jong, and Lee So-e also handed him a postcard.
So, it might be safe to say that Yoong-jae was the favorite male contestant that season. As for anyone who’s catching up, the series is just as Too Hot to Handle and Love Island, but with a slower pace and fewer clandestine hookups. However, on the bright side, the dramas that build among the charming cast are none like you’ve ever seen before.
Also, there’s an element of mystery in this series. The participants are forbidden from revealing their careers or ages until they get to Paradise (a luxury hotel where the pair are sent to sent to explore their connection). As for the rest of the time, they should explore possible romance in Inferno— a place where they cook all their meals and also fetch their own water.
Joining Yoong-jae for the second installment of Single’s Inferno were his co-stars — Shin Seul Ki, Park Se-jeong, Choi Jong-woo, Lee So-e, Lee Nadine, Kim Han-bin, Shin Dong-woo, and Choi Seo-eun.
Did you know: Fans slammed Single’s Inferno season 2 for having a “boring” start and lacking the energy from ep 1. But this might have just been because the first season set expectations very high. However, with this being said, there were a few impressed with the drama for its cliffhangers. They even labeled the endings to be pretty “savage”.
Is Jo Yoong-jae Dating Anyone?
It’s a no-brainer that Jo Yoong-jae wouldn’t hand out his dating status while Single’s Inferno was still going on. But this didn’t stop the fans from speculating who the charmer might end up with. Or, was he even trying to find love?
As seen in the first ep, Yoong-jae had three different instances with three different women where he indirectly made sure to get their votes. During the interaction with Soo E, they discussed Yoong-jae’s report on “alternative foods,” and after confirming she’d definitely vote for him, he went on to hit on Seo Eun by offering to use it for shade from sunlight. Securing her vote as well, he then went on to openly flirt and give hints to Se Jeong as well. They talked about visiting overseas, with Se Jeong even offering to take him to the States.
At the time, everyone was certain that Yoong-jae and Se Jeong would make a perfect pair. They even cheered, “We already have one couple.
However, Yoong-jae also seemingly led Se Jeong and Soo E.
But in the end, he went on to choose Seo Eun, even though they had very little conversation throughout. “I didn’t have a strong impression of Yoong Jae because we had spoken so little,” Seo Eun confessed before adding, “But when we got to get ice together that time, he was carrying a report in his hands. That was very unexpected and felt like a twist to his character. So I began to think that I’m curious about him and want to know him better.”
Obviously, Se Jeong and Soo E were heartbroken after Jo Yoong-jae’s “betrayal.”
