TLC’s new dating show, Match Me Abroad, recently premiered on May 14th. The show is all about seven singletons who are searching for love outside of the US because of their poor dating record in their home country. Helping them are three matchmakers. Like most of the TLC shows, Match Me Abroad won’t only focus on love, but instead put focus on an individual’s personal life, including their family and friends.
Seven singles of Match Me Abroad have faith that the international matchmakers–Katarina Nemcova, Juan Nino, Nina Kharoufeh–will find them the love of their life in the Czech Republic, Colombia, and Morocco.
Katarina, a Prague-based matchmaker, has Harold and Michelle as her clients whereas Nina will be helping Stanika and Mark find their “the one” in Morocco.
Whereas, Juan’s clients include Nathaly, Susan, and Chad and it’s his responsibility to find them a partner in Colombia. Nathaly is a 25-year-old Californian with a strict Sri Lankan mother; Susan is a 52-year-old New Yorker who is done with dating in NYC; and there’s Chad, a 38-year-old from Tennessee who’s been engaged three times already and believes Colombian women are more serious about marriage than Americans.
In the trailer, Juan’s client Susan said, “Dating in the United States, that s— makes me tired. My picker’s broken — have somebody pick for me,” whereas another client Chad shared, “I’ve been engaged three times. All three of ’em have failed. I believe Colombian women respect marriage more than American women.”
Long story short, Juan’s clients are visibly frustrated with their dating life. Will Juan make them happy by finding someone they’re looking for?
Colombian matchmaker and life coach Juan Manuel Nino admitted in an interview that his job isn’t always easy. But he finds that the challenges are worth it when he makes a successful match.
“As a matchmaker, the more challenging it is, the bigger the rewards,” Juan said.

Juan has a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from Florida Atlantic University.
His education helped him make a career in the relevant field. In May 2010, Juan started his own business venture and became the owner/founder of MARZ LLC.
The reality TV star became the proprietor of Nino Gallery, an art gallery, in 2014 after returning from the United States to Bogota, Colombia.

Esteban is a married man and studied Social Communication and Journalism at Politécnico Grancolombiano.
Juan shares a close relationship with his niece, Manuela Niño. On April 5, 2017, he shared a picture of Manuela on Instagram and captioned it, “My niece…… my goddaughter…… my inspiration.” Manuela turned 16 in July 2022. She has a boyfriend named Nic Rabinoqitz.
