After shows like Fixer Upper and Flipping Out we have Designing Miami. A recent release on Netflix (21 September 2022), it is a show about a young Latino power couple Eilyn and Ray Jimenez juggling their work and personal lives. They are competitors and a married couple who run competing interior design firms in Miami, Florida. Eilyn, who opts for a more minimal approach, is the founder of Sire Design, a team fronted by all Latina women based in Miami. Karina Perlaza, who we are going to discuss in the rest of the writing, is the lead interior designer of this firm. Here’s what we know about her.

Karina Perlaza is introduced in the show as an integral employee of Eilyn’s Sire Designs.
Eilyn shares with us through Designing Firm that she was in awe of Karina’s ability to close out deals while still continuing to film the show.
Other than her boss, Karina also impressed her viewers with her no-nonsense attitude at work.
Karina has been with Sire Design for over three years, since she joined one day in July 2019.

Karina Perlaza Career
While still doing her master’s Karina Perlaza interned at Behar Font + Partners, P.A., and the Interior Image Group. This was in 2017 and all along she was also volunteering at Box of Joy.
Then, after graduation, she joined Sire Design and has been thriving in her role there since then.
In a short period, Karina has become almost indispensable to the firm because she is highly proficient in handling clients and an expert at closing deals. Because she was always extremely diligent in her work, she was currently promoted to the position of Lead Interior Designer.
It appeared so, that Karina was interested in design from quite a young age and was determined to pursue it as a career option.

Where Did Karina Perlaza Earn Her Education?
