Ray Jimenez On Netflix’s Designing Miami
Netflix’s brand new show Designing Miami premiered on September 21, 2022, and it featured two skillful interior designers, Ray and Eilyn Jimenez, working their magic with clients around Miami helping them turn their homes from drab to fab.
But since the duo was married, it didn’t mean that they always saw eye-to-eye when it came to interior design. They were competitors! Ray tried to convenience his clients with a more maximalist approach while his wife believed that a minimalist aesthetic was all they needed.
“Juggling the needs of their deep-pocketed clients, their staff of young designers, their close-knit families (some of whom are also contractors), and their relationship with each other isn’t easy, but this talented, stylish duo manages to pull it off while always maintaining a healthy sense of humor,” Netflix’s official synopsis read.
Joining Ray and Eilyn Jimenez for the inaugural season of Designing Miami were their staff — Valentina Leon (Lead Interior Designer), Karina Perlaza (Lead Interior Designer), Camila Milagros (Junior Interior Designer), Andrea Ritter (Architectural Drafter), and Maria Gabriel Hernandez (Architectural Drafter).
Among them, Valentina was with Ray’s company for over three years, Karina for over two, and Andrea and Camila were more recent additions to the team.
Eilyn And Ray Jimenez Relationship
Ray Jimenez first met Eilyn in 2017. A year later, he then popped the question to the love of his life in August (on Eilyn’s birthday).
Finally, on October 16, 2019, the duo walked the aisle in a lavish wedding in Barcelona, attended by their “closest family and friends.”
“These memories alongside an amazing year have set the bar real high. I can’t wait to see what the next 99 years together brings us, but I hope we always continue to laugh as hard as we do and love as much as we do. Being married to your best friend is really all that,” Eilyn mand an IG post on their first anniversary.
Also, since their wedding, Ray and Eilyn always went skiing on Valentine’s day each year. (Well, at least until the time of writing this article).
Talking a little about Eilyn, she hails from a loving Cuban-American family. Both of her parents were immigrants. But it was only because of their support that Eilyn was able to follow her dreams. At 16, Eilyn then started pursuing a degree in business at the Universidad Latina de Costa Rica but it wasn’t long before she found her calling in architecture. Thus, she shifted her stream in her second year, and now, she’s a well-known designer and a reality star.

Who Are Ray Jimenez Parents?
Just like his wife, Ray Jimenez was born to immigrants parents.
His mother, Paula Caraballo (born: Dec 1961) came to America from the Dominican Republic and earned a living by selling used clothes by the pound overseas. She used to work till 2-3 in the mourning — shipping and packing clothes to make enough money to support all of them.

Now talking about his parents-in-law, they are Rolando (born: Nov 1967) and Miriam Cueto. They lived in Miami, FL in 2022.
On father’s day 2020, Ray even wished Rolando over his IG thanking him for “being there for me, showing me the way, for being patient with me even when I made it difficult for you, for believing in me and encouraging me to dream, for being my greatest supporter throughout my life, and cheering me on to fulfill all my crazy dreams.”
How Much Is Ray Jimenez Net Worth?
Ray Jimenez flaunted a net worth of above $1 million in 2022. But combined with that of his wife, his net worth was above $2 million.
Reportedly, he earned above $60 thousand annually then.
Looking back, Ray started his career back in April 2004 as a “visual merchandiser assistant/sales associate” at Guess? In 2007, he then joined Domus Design Studio as a “project manager/designer” and went on to work there for almost 2 ½ years.
To further enhance his skills, Ray then joined TSAO Design Group in Jan 2009 as an intern, and right after completing his training in Oct that year, he joined Avant Design Group as a “project manager/interior designer.”
Finally, in May 2010, after getting in touch with his Miami International University classmate, Shannon Scott, Ray then co-founded the Miami-based interior design agency RS3 Designs. After opening his own firm, Ray then had the chance to meet some people from the industry including Steven and Ori (who would later end up working for him), and eventually got his affairs to start his current interior design firm, Raymond Nicolas, in May 2021.
As for his education, Ray got his bachelor of fine arts in 2006 from Miami Dade College and later received his BFA in interior design from The Arts Institutes.
