OWN TV show, Ready To Love, comes from the efforts of Will Packer Media and Lighthearted Entertainment. The Oprah Winfrey Network announced the cast of 14 Black singles–7 men and 7 women–who were looking for lasting love a little before the show’s premiere.
Although the show is primarily an OWN production, it can be also streamed on YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, Philo, and more. Like the previous seasons, Season 5 of Ready To Love is also hosted by Thomas “Nephew Tommy” Miles. Hailing from Houston, Texas, Thomas is a comedian and TV show. He is popular TV show host Steve Harvey’s nephew.
The participants for the 5th season of the popular OWN show are:
Women: 39-years-old Kina, 34-years-old Precious, 37-years-old Tiffani, 37-years-old Ace, 36-years-old Sabrina, 39-years-old Dakiya, and 41-years old Joi.
Men: 44-years-old Clifton, 42-years-old Demetrius, 39-years-old Tory, 34-years-old Fernando, 48-years-old Paul, and a 32-years-old Wiley.
The trailer for the show revealed that all the cast members are fashionable and well put together. What the first-look trailer also showed was that all the cast members of Ready To Love Season 5 are there with the genuine interest of finding their long-term life partner.
On the first episode of the show, Quality Over Quantity, which was released on January 28th, viewers learned about the jobs and career titles of each cast member. They also learned which of the cast member was previously married and which of them already have children of their own.
The show also saw two eliminations in the first episode itself. The ones to get eliminated on the premiere were Kino and Fernando. Forward to the second episode, Blind Dates, one more contestant was eliminated and it was Tiffani.

In the 2nd episode “Blind Dates” of Ready to Love Season 5, Laverne went on a blind date with 43-years-old Carmen, who works as Brand Management CEO for athletes. There he learns that Carmen is a single, divorced mom. During the date, Laverne complimented Carmen and also planted a kiss towards the end of the date.
In the first episode too, Laverne flirted with the 34-years-old Precious. In their short interaction, Precious complimented Laverne on his confidence, and on the other hand, Laverne revealed to Precious that he wants an alpha. Precious also openly talked about what she does not like about him.
