Minhi England, one of the contestants joined the show because she was keeping her promise made to none other than her husband Jesse England. Jesse was proud of his wife and what she could create. He wanted her to thrive professionally and become the star that he believed she was. So, by now you have got the clue that Jesse might’ve passed away.

The art of glass-making helped Minhi heal from the depths of her grief and take on a new challenge for the eyes of the world. Three or four months before he passed away Jesse told her that she needs to do the show and make sure that you win the show if they accept her in the cast.

Meet Jesse England, Netflix Blown Away Minhi England Late Husband

Jesse England and Minhi England tied the knots not long before. The couple shared their wedding vows on 5 September 2020. They didn’t do anything extravagant, the bride Minhi was dressed in a $30 wedding dress and rocked thrifted cowboy boots she purchased on her first trip to Texas to visit Jesse.

Because the pandemic hit, they planned an intimate ceremony which was officiated by their dear friend Shannon Brunskill. Minhi wrote on her IG post that she never dreamt of a big wedding as a little girl. So she was confused regarding certain aspects such as “will someone be giving me away? What is a unity ceremony? Should I shove cake on his face??”.

Shannon then asked her if she was keeping her last name or taking her husband Jesse’s name. Her gut reaction told her “No, absolutely not.” She believed as an artist her identity represents who she was and her career. But, she did change her name to Minhi Su England, not because of a traditional reason but because of the impact, Jesse had in her life.

Speaking to King5, Minhi told, “We shared all parts of our lives together. We made art together, we lived together, worked together, and amazing life together”. They shared a passion called growing a company called Artful Ashes which creates memorial glass art infused with the ashes of loved ones.

Jesse England Cause Of Death

Sadly Jesse England, who wanted to see his wife on TV, is not around when it happened. He died on 10 May 2021 and his life succumbed to a long struggle with an aggressive sarcoma called a malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor (MPNST), which became his cause of death. He was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer in 2018.

Jesse passed away peacefully at the Gene & Irene Wockner Hospice Center in Kirkland, WA.

Who Were Jesse England Parents?

Kenneth “Ken” England and Debra “Debbie” England were the parents of Jesse England. They are currently based in Council Grove, Kansas.

Ken is 69 being born on 12 October 1952 meanwhile Debbie turned 68 years old on 9 December 1953. A month after writing this article, Ken and Debbie are celebrating their 48th wedding anniversary i.e in August 2022.

Ken is the son of Glenn Emmett England and Phyllis J. Sturgeon. His parents married on 29 January 1943 and stayed married until Phyllis died on 16 February 2013. Glenn passed away on 1 March 2020.

Kenneth is a multi-instrumentalist musician who is skilled in guitar and saxophone. He also does live shows and also seems to be in a band.

Although Jesse England was a skilled professional glassblower, he also frequently used other “blue collar” materials to express himself, such as torch-cut steel and chainsaw-carved wood. The importance of his childhood was clear in his artistic body of work, where he frequently paid tribute to his heritage. He was a kind person who was committed to spreading his interests to the world.

In Seattle, Washington, Jesse established a home with Minhi England, the love of his life, and a fellow artist, where they set up a glass studio. He referred to their partnership as their “third voice” because of the way they worked together in life and in art. Jesse became an essential member of the Seattle glass and art communities as a result of their collaboration.

Jesse collaborated with Rollin Karg Art Glass, Sam Stang Glass, and Martin Blank Studios during his professional career. His biggest sense of accomplishment came from helping to expand Artful Ashes in Seattle, Washington. He used his skills to create glass memorials for his client’s deceased loved ones there.

What’s more, Jesse graduated from Council Grove High School in 2002. His life vision was accelerated shortly after he graduated from high school when he discovered glass art. The only college in Kansas that offered a glass degree was the next place he looked. He graduated from Emporia State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture and Glass in 2007.

Jesse went on to complete a Masters of Fine Arts in Sculpture and Glass at the University of Texas, Arlington, Texas, in 2013, eager to continue pursuing his love. He received various prizes and grants for artistic brilliance during the course of his lifetime.
