Meet Model/Actress Bobby T Father, Bert Campaneris
Bert Campaneris is a former Major League Baseball (MLB) shortstop who was born Cuban-American on March 9, 1942. He played for four American League (AL) teams, principally the Kansas City/Oakland Athletics. He had a distinguished 20-year major-league career that included six All-Star selections, six American League stolen-base crowns, and a major role in the Oakland Athletics’ three world championships in the 1970s.
His father worked as a factory technician. Bert had four sisters and three brothers. He went to Pueblo Nuevo’s Jose Tomas School.
He exclusively played baseball, despite possessing extraordinary speed and quickness. At the age of 11, he participated in a Cuban Little League, and he later played catcher for a semipro squad. He claimed to have such a passion for baseball that he even helped out as a groundskeeper.
Bert is the owner of the A’s franchise records for games played (1795), hits (1882), and at-bats (7180) in a career. He was a key member of the Athletics’ championship teams from 1972 to 1974. Between 1965 and 1972, Bert led the AL in stolen bases six times, retiring with the seventh-highest total in MLB history (649). His career totals at shortstop place him among the all-time MLB leaders in games played (5th, 2097) and double plays (7th, 1186), respectively, at that position.

Evelyn Campaneris was born to farmers in a small village in Ireland. She lost her mother at the age of 4 and was raised in an Irish convent by nuns. Despite her small-town upbringing, she chose to travel the world at the age of 21. And by the age of 25, Evelyn had seen all seven continents in the world.
According to Bobby, Evelyn worked the night shift, has been a maid, and also picked tomatoes in the south as an illegal immigrant.
This is why Bobby often hails her mother as her hero. In September 2014, Bobby captioned an IG post, “This tiny Lil Irish lady is my hero. She has taught me what it is to be strong, responsible, polite, and most importantly funny. I love you Mum”.
Likewise, in March 2022 IG post, she wrote, “To say she’s face challenges is an understatement. My mom has taught me even when times are tough to look forward and enjoy the life in front of you. I carry the lessons she has taught me and now share them with Daniel [her son].”

Evelyn, born in June 1949, is currently 73 years old. On 16 June 2014, on Evelyn’s birthday, Bobby wished, “Happy Birthday Mum! You are so beautiful, funny, and a walking encyclopedia. Thank you for all your love. Proud to call you mum”.
