Meet Morgan Schrankel, Shauna Rae Sister
TLC’s “I Am Shauna Rae” has become a sensation for its one-of-a-kind story. For viewers, it’s unbelievable to see a 22-year-old girl who looks not a day older than an 8-year-old. We see Shauna trying to overcome all the challenges of being treated like a child though she is an adult because of her looks.
But, Shuna has her family to guide and support her during this process. One of her family members is her sister Morgan Schrankel. The eldest of the four children of Mark Schrankel and Patricia “Patsy” Schrankel, her parents boast about her on their socials for her academic accomplishments.
Besides Shauna, Morgan also has two younger sisters Tara Lesick and Rylee Schrankel.
Mark, her hilarious father, wrote on his Facebook, “So proud of my oldest daughter, Morgan Rae!! This is her getting her SECOND Masters Degree!! (NO….she isn’t adopted…)”.

Morgan Schrankel was born to her parents Mark Schrankel and Lesley Bach. Yes, Patricia “Patty” Schrankel is her stepmother. We know, Mark is 55 years old Long Islander who is currently married to his wife Patty. He and Patty tied the knots on 19 March 2003 and are celebrating their 19th wedding anniversary in March 2022.
By profession, Mark describes himself as an existential decorator. Whereas, his LinkedIn revealed that he worked as an art director for Gardwell Mfg. Corp from July 1984 to July 2000. He is also the founder/president of WhoBuddiez puppets. Plus, he is a musician wielding a guitar, drum, and vocal skills.
Plus, he is also a US Air Force veteran.
Coming to Morgan’s mother, Lesley is a homemaker and she writes on her Facebook, she is a stay-at-home parent. After her separation from Mark, she married her alleged husband Joseph Bach. Together Lesley and Joseph share at least one son Anthony Back, (Morgan’s half-brother).
Talking about her age, Lesley Bach turned 54 years old in October 2021. She celebrates her birthday on 31 October. She was born to her parents Donald Johnson and Gerry Johnson, who are very close to Morgan. Lesley has one sister Jodi Tonarelli (husband Ed Tonarelli).

Morgan Schrankel started her career as AmeriCorp Bonner Leader at Thruston House, a center for pregnant and parenting teens, in September 2009. She worked there until May 2012.
During that period, she also worked as Camp Counselor/Lifeguard at Camp Medolark in June 2011. She worked in the camp for only three months and during that period she taught filmmaking and kayaking classes to campers aged 9-15 years old. She also supervised 10-13 girls in a cabin setting as a counselor.
In May 2012, Morgan became Bonner Fellow at Bonner Foundation. During her four months there, she helped manage the first summer of the Fellowship program. She also assisted in national conferences, including Bonner Summer Leadership Institute (SLI) and the Bonner High-Impact Initiative.
After leaving the foundation in August 2012, she immediately joined Allegheny College as AmeriCorps Bonner Senior Intern where she worked until May 2013. In July 2013, Morgan became part of AmeriCorps VISTA as a fellow in Albany, New York. Whereas, in July 2014, she joined Siena College as AmeriCorps VISTA Leader.
Morgan left AmeriCorps Vista and Siena College in July 2015.
From August 2016 to August 2018, she landed a job as a literacy support teacher at Mastery Charter Schools. Then she got promoted to Middle School English Teacher where she worked until April of 2019. From April 2019 to March 2020, she became self-employed and started working as Nanny and House Manager.
After quitting her job, Morgan landed the work of Clinician at Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes in March 2020. She also served the organization in different roles such as Learning Center Assistant, Mentor, and Consultant before she quit the job in September 2021.
Starting from September 2021, she has been working as a reading specialist at Belmont Charter Network in Pennsylvania.
