Meet Paul Roberts, Linsey Davis Husband
Emmy Award-winning journalist Linsey Davis is married to her husband Paul Roberts for decades.
Linsey Davis, an ABC reporter, spoke at a charity event held in the illustrious Plaza Hotel. Even though she was dating someone else at the time, Davis’ cousin had been attempting to introduce her to Paul Roberts. Roberts was brought to the event by her cousin, who arranged for him to sit at Davis’ table where they began chatting.
Both of them were attempting to call a cab at the end of the night. They continued their conversation as they waited for a cab to arrive and ultimately decided to ride together. Everything after that evening is history.
The married couple had their wedding was held at Oheka Castle in Long Island, New York, back on 26 March 2013. On the TLC program Say Yes to the Dress, Davis appeared wearing the wedding gown she chose. On GMA, the wedding preparation process was also covered. In 2022, Paul and Linsey celebrated their 9 years wedding anniversary.
After the married couple welcomed a son named Ayden born on 30 May 2014, the Roberts household expanded. Her son recently inspired her to write a book, How High is Heaven? As she told PEOPLE, Ayden was upset that she couldn’t see his grandma in heaven.
“We were on a plane and he just out of nowhere said, ‘I don’t see her,’ ” says the ABC News anchor, 44, recalling the interaction with Ayden, now 7, whom she shares with husband Paul Roberts. “And I said, ‘You don’t see who?’ And he said, ‘Well, I look out the window looking for Grandma P. in heaven.’ ”
A few months before the travel, Linsey and Ayden had a chat about Grandma P. during which the latter asked Linsey why he only had one set of grandparents whereas his friend had two. (The grandfather of Ayden’s paternal line had also passed away.)
The anchor is already on her way to making sure her parenting is sound, as she stated in one of her Instagram posts, and she is willing to have any difficult conversations with her child in order to help mold him into a responsible adult. She expressed anxiety in the post about exposing her little son to the subject of racial injustice.
The mother of one also released a children’s book, “The World Is Awake: A Celebration of Everyday Blessing’s,” in 2018 that her son inspired. The loving parents make time for their son’s school events despite their hectic schedules, and they enjoy spending time with him.
After the flight, Linsey was motivated to pen her most recent children’s book, How High is Heaven?, in order to assist other parents in navigating similar conversations with their children about deceased loved ones. As more children lose their primary caregivers as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, she thinks this subject feels more urgent than ever.
Besides being great parents to their son, Paul and Linsey also share an interest in marathons. For several years now, he and Linsey have loved participating in marathon runs for charitable causes. On a serious note, Linsey’s Instagram page frequently provides photo opportunities from marathons.
