Pete Meldrum On HGTV Battle on the Beach Season 3
If in case you missed the previous seasons of Battle on the Beach, here’s a premise of the show, so you get an idea of how the show works: Three teams of up-and-coming home renovators work tirelessly to renovate three two-bedroom, two-bath seaside properties in Gulf Shores, Alabama. They have a budget of $90,000 in their pocket plus a helping hand from the coaches Taniya Nayak (Build it Forward), Ty Pennington (Rock the Block), and Alison Victoria (Windy City Rehab). Judges, along with a team of local real estate experts would decide the winner of the title as well as a $50,000 cash prize.
However, this time around, there’s a slight change in the premise of the show. Instead of three identical homes, the 3rd season of Battle on the Beach will have an extra 200 square feet of space. A kick-off challenge will decide who gets the bigger property. Season 3 of the HGTV show was reportedly filmed in Surfside Beach, Texas.
Also, the husband-and-wife stars of Renovation Island, Sarah and Bryan Baeumler, are the judges of the competition this season.
Besides Pete Meldrum and his Ben Argall, the other two duos competing on Battle on the Beach Season 3 are married couple Ryan and Kelsey Mansingh of Ohio and friends Ashley Basnight and Steve Lewis of Oklahoma.
“This experience was truly unique, it was great working with Ben, we had a lot of fun, and it was a ton of work, I thought it was going to be easier than everyday work but it actually turned out to be harder, it was a lot to take on in the time frame, but it was a lot of fun and I met a lot of cool people,” Pete said ahead of the show’s premiere on June 4, 2023.
Adding to what he had said, Pete shared that if there’s one thing he learned from being on the show it would be time management. “…with so many moving parts on this show and the ball rolling so fast, really scheduling and budgeting time and stuff is kind of a big thing,” Pete added.
On May 11, 2023, Pete also shared on his Instagram how much he was missing his competitors. “Going into the show I was expecting it to be hard, and a lot of work. And it was. But what I wasn’t expecting is how much I would miss these guys,” Pete wrote.
