HGTV’s Battle on the Beach has already entertained viewers for two seasons and now it is back again for the third installment. The new episodes filed on the Alabama Gulf Coast have three teams of competitors.
If you haven’t seen Battle on the Beach’s first two seasons, the basic premise is as follows: In Gulf Shores, Alabama, three teams of aspiring home renovators compete to add the most outstanding value to a trio of two-bedroom, two-bath seaside homes. In addition to their instructors, HGTV design professionals Taniya Nayak (Build it Forward), Ty Pennington (Rock the Block), and Alison Victoria (Windy City Rehab), have a $90,000 budget to work with.
Who wins the $50,000 cash award is chosen by the judges and a panel of regional real estate professionals. The news that Sarah and Bryan, the husband-and-wife Renovation Island stars, will also be serving as judges this season. The couple’s time as contestants on Rock the Block season 4 earlier this year was underwhelming, but for this beach assignment, they are squarely in their element. (After all, they did restore a 10-acre resort in the Bahamas.)
Steve of Oklahoma and his friend Ashley Basnight are one of the competitors. The other two teams are married couple Ryan and Kelsey Mansingh of Ohio and two friends Ben Argall and Pete Meldrum of Michigan.
Ahead of the show’s premiere, Steve announced on his socials: “So it’s official June 4th I’ll be appearing on HGTV Battle on the Beach season 3! I can’t wait for everyone to see it!”
