Stephanie “Pyet” DeSpain On Next Level Chef
Stephanie “Pyet” DeSpain joined as a social media star chef. Each team was led by a mentor selecting each team after eating a dish they prepared on the first round.
Now the elimination process has begun so that the show could have a winner who will be bagging $250 thousand and a year worth of mentoring from three mentors (Gordon Ramsay, Richard Blais, and Nyesha Arrington). The elimination process begins with one contestant being the winner in a competition. So, after the win, he/she is in the safe zone along with their team members while putting the rest two teams in trouble.
The mentor put forward their contestant for the elimination challenge based on their capabilities, incompetence, and other related factors. So, the two chefs who are put forward compete against each other and whoever loses has to leave the show, plain and simple.
As of episode 4, three contestants (Gary Marandola, Roice Bethel, and Sergio Steele) have been eliminated. So, each of the judges has lost one team member. The competition is fierce and certainly an interesting one.
Speaking about her experience on the Stephaine revealed that when she started posting cooking videos online during the pandemic, it got the attention of producers from the show. She explained that one of the toughest things about the competition was what she called “impostor syndrome” for her.
Stephanie was initially thinking that she shouldn’t be on the show because she found everyone phenomenal. Every time she competed, she faced the challenge of getting that thought out of her head and focusing on the task. When her team ended up in the basement bringing out creativity was also a tough job for her.
Because of the inaccessibility of the necessary ingredients, she and her fellow chefs faced challenges in the basement.
On her Instagram, Stephanie announced, “Watch me and 14 of America’s best chefs compete for an opportunity of a lifetime!! I Can NOT wait!!! The premier of @nextlevelcheffox airs tomorrow!!!! Let’s goooooo!”.
