When examined by Johnny’s lawyer, Stephen simply said that Johnny and Amber “were two people that were in love with each other that shouldn’t have been together.”
Fast forward to April 2022, Johnny again started another legal battle suing Amber for defamation to the tune of $50 million. Yet again, Stephen was then asked to testify on his behalf.
According to official court documents, Amber allegedly defamed Johnny in a 2018 Washington Post op-ed. Meanwhile, Amber also filed a countersuit accusing her ex-husband of allegedly orchestrating a “smear campaign” against her.
The proceeding began on April 11, 2022, and was expected to last a total of six weeks.
