Tommy Rouse On HGTV Revealed
Tommy Rouse has been working with Veronica Valencia for a long time.
“We are such a collaborative group. I value their friendship as much as their knowledge and expertise. They just make all of the projects I work on so much better, and they mean everything to me. I honestly would be nothing without them,” Veronica said of Tommy and the rest of her crew.
Thus, when she had this idea of incorporating her clients’ family history and heritage into her home designs for them and turning the process into a show, she had to bring Tommy along.
Likewise, Tommy’s more than happy to be a part of the show. “I am over the moon to be a part of such a special project with one of my best friends @veronicavalencia,” he wrote on IG. “The designs from this show are gonna be epic and I hope that ya’ll love watching it as much as we love making it.”
In the show, Tommy and the cast dig deep to uncover each family’s unique history and infuse the spaces in their home with the techniques, materials, and heirlooms that reflected the family’s culture. “Designs become living histories when designer Veronica Valencia dives into her clients’ family heritage for renovation inspiration,” the show’s official synopsis read.
Together, Tommy and Veronica have collaborated in over 500 renovations across the country. “We have designed more television sets than I can possibly count, so this magical show has been a long time coming,” Tommy said.
To list some of their works, the team has offered its services to networks such as ABC, OWN, FOX, NBC, and NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC. Their works have also been featured in My Domaine, Remodelista, The New York Times, Style Me Pretty, Green Wedding Shoes, Lucky Magazine, and more.

So, what’s their secret? Understanding, appreciation, and a lot of vacations. The last we saw them, the lovebirds hiked to the top of Half-Dome in Yosemite — the same spot Tommy took Joshua to on one of their early dates.
Just prior to this, the couple was spotted adventuring in Akaka Falls, Big Island Hawaii.
Overall, Joshua seemed more vocal about their love than Tommy.
On Valentines Day 2021, Joshua took to his IG to write, “Happy Valentine’s Day to my best friend, @tommyrouse … cheers to the adventures we share, the art we create, the lessons we learn, and the growing we do…I look forward to much much more…”
Also, he once shared that Tommy was the best designer he knew. His leadership, guidance, attention to detail, and constant hard work and drive for success, were much appreciated by Joshua. “But more so, the way Tommy leads, instilling in each of us the importance of community everywhere we go,” Joshua added.
