Amanda was married to her husband Jason Wilhelm for 12 long years until he passed away on March 19, 2022, at the age of 45. He was a funny, caring, strong man, who lost the battle to stage 4 ampullary cancer.
Together, Amanda and Jason share two kids — Aleena and Jason Wilhelm Jr. The former was born on July 1, 2015, and she was homeschooled by Amanda.
Talking a little more about Jason, he initially visited hospitals as he had some discomfort and pain in his lungs. After a battery of tests, the doctors then finally said that he had stage 4 ampullary cancer that had metastasized to the rest of his body.
Doctors said that, with chemo, his best bet would be living another three months.
Sadly, Jason’s family, parents: Judy Wilhelm Miller and Paul Miller, brothers: Tom Mintz and Jon Jackson, and sister: Alicia Anderson, weren’t there for Amanda and her kids after Jason passed away.
“Shout out to my late husband’s family for staying in contact with his children and being there for them for not only the little things but holidays and birthdays too so they can feel at least a little connected to their father that passed away….….oh wait….they don’t,” Amanda vented on FB.
Fun Fact: Amanda’s kids asked her, “Are you going to sleep in Razvan’s bed?” when she went to meet the aspiring actor. To which, Amanda suggested that she will likely sleep on the couch.
