William Friend Death
William Friend, the husband of One Tree Hill Star Bevin Prince, tragically died from getting struck by lightning. The accident happened while he was on a boat in North Carolina near Masonboro Island over the weekend. Emergency medical services attempted to resuscitate him for 20 minutes after the accident, which occurred while William was out on a boat.
While in the ambulance, William was pronounced dead.
One of the first to pay tribute was House star Odette Annable. She posted on Instagram, “The unimaginable has happened and we have to say goodbye to another friend, @britwilliam. My best friend @bevinaprince beloved husband. Will, it feels surreal writing this. Mostly because it feels like you were just getting started. The life and love that you gave to my best friend made it feel okay that we were thousands of miles apart”.
She added, “What a gift you gave to everyone who knew you to witness the passion that burned in your soul. The passion to help people, to build your business, to find happiness like I’d never seen from you living in North Carolina with Bevin. You were perfect for her in every way. You supported her dreams, you made her feel seen, you adored her with every bit of your soul and I will forever be grateful to witness that kind of love”.
She concluded, “At only 33 years old, you did it, and you went out like no other in a blaze of glory. May you Rest In Peace you charming, witty, beautiful British man who loved the shit out of America. I love you”.
A memorial fund on GoFundMe was also created to honor William. It was started to support two causes; Special Operators Transition Foundation founded by Robert J. O’Neill and scaling up Recess, a company William and his wife Built so that it could lead to the employment of many more people while creating rewarding and meaningful jobs for others.
