DJ Simmons On Buckhead Shore
From the annual tradition to a show, MTV announced [Jersey shore spin-off] Buckhead Shore which premiered on 23 June 2022. The show follows the lives of a group of friends who are living around Buckhead, Georgia, also known as the “Beverly Hills of the South”. Parker Lipman.
Every summer, they get together to party, get wild, and maybe fall in love at Parker Lipman’s family lake house in Lake Burton 100 miles northeast of Atlanta. The show was pitched with his on-again-off-again girlfriend Katie Canham and MTV. According to Parker, they were getting together at the lake house for the past 10 years.
Parker added, “The shore is a way to get out of that fast-paced life in Buckhead”.
Besides Parker, the other casts joining him in the show are Adamo Giraldo, Bethania Locke, Chelsea Prescott, DJ Simmons, Juju Barney, Katie Canham, Pat Muresan, and Savannah Gabriel.
DJ Simmons, the son of the Grammy-Winning musician, is also working to become pursuing a career in music and songwriting. Clearly, he has big shoes to fill. But he believes that partying and spending time with friends comes between him and his dream that he can’t let go of.
Before the show premiered, DJ announced on his Instagram, “The secrets out freaks! We’re going crazy for one unforgettable night with the premiere of #BuckheadShore Thursday, June 23rd at 9/8c on @MTV!”.

DJ Simmons was platonic with his friend and Buckhead Shore cast member Bethania Locke. They hooked up not long before the show. The hook-up didn’t end well in the show, because his Facebook revealed that he is in a relationship with his girlfriend Devon Wilkinson.

DJ’s mother also shared about their relationship writing, “I’m so happy for my son D.J he’s finally found someone that he truly loves. Stay happy. I’m so happy that she’s into fitness and keeps D.J on track. She wants him to stay healthy and the drinking she knows is not healthy for him so she’s on it. I’m glad he has someone who cares about him mentally, spiritually, and physically”.
In February 2019, DJ announced on his Facebook, “Cara Rotundo has picked me up at my lowest and that’s why she will be a beautiful bride one day. We deserve US”.
Cara responded to him with a comment, “You saved me & that’s BIG facts. Forever here for you through all the moments/seasons life gives us. That’s a promise. We deserve us. Thanks to you I believe in true Love”. She added further, “My best friend my soulmate”.

Sherry Beal Brown is the mom of DJ Simmons. On 7 May 2019, DJ wished his mother, “Happy Birthday to the woman I can call at any hour and she will answer …no matter what! you’ve taught me so much and I’m proud to call you my mom …your beauty is striking and ur heart is gold, God crafted perfection in every aspect of you!”
Sherry is the daughter of Eloise Beal and Aubrey Beal. She is currently married to Armond W Brown. They celebrated their 6th wedding anniversary in September 2021.

DJ Simmons’s dad Daryl Simmons is an American R&B musician, songwriter, and record producer. Daryl was born on 11 April 1957 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is best known for his association with the LaFace Records production duo of L.A. Reid and Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds.
Together with future Pop and R&B producer-songwriter-singer Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, he attended Indianapolis, Indiana’s North Central High School. The two would regularly write tunes in each other’s homes. Simmons and Edmonds started “Tarnished Silver” as teens, a group that also comprised Rayford Griffin and Tom Borton.
