Born on 19 January 1994 to Robert and Dixie Wills Howard, Christopher’s place of birth was Gainesville, Hall County, Georgia. Chris’s parents were infuriated by his death after Chris died inside the Gwinnett County jail. They demanded $10 million while blaming the county jail for their son’s death on the “negligent, reckless” actions of sheriff’s deputies.

Chris wound up in Gwinnett County Jail for drunk driving and failing a drug test. He called Laurel as soon as he could. “So when I talked to him at the jail I said Chris, make sure you eat something because you haven’t eaten anything all day,” Laurel recalled. Surveillance video showed Chris dropping to the floor soon after he was done talking to Laurel.
Chris arrived at the jail infirmary an hour after the doctor’s first order. Laurel stayed by his side the whole time. She told the channel, “I prayed the entire time that there would be a miracle. But… that wasn’t the case.”
“It’s just not real to me,” she admitted. “I feel like Chris is out of town. Or… I just haven’t seen him for a while. I can’t wrap my head around the fact that I won’t see him again in this life.”
Chris and Laurel were in a relationship when he passed away on 17 February 2017.
Chris called Flowery Branch his hometown which was also his residence in his last days. Christopher received education from Johnson High School and Gainesville State College. He worked as an accountant at RWH Trucking.
Less than a week later, Patrick posted on his Instagram that he had promised Chris that he would always watch over Laurel, their family, and their friends. Patrick and Chris were best friends, based on the post.
