Sean Kilgore On HGTV’s I Bought A Dump… Now What?
HGTV’s four-part docuseries I Bought a Dump … Now What? premiered on April 30, 2022, and it saw three families — including Sean’s — as they embarked on an exhaustive journey of remodeling their newly bought run-down homes.
Just as the title suggested, the show followed homeowners who tried to save money by tackling the overhauls themselves, but ended up behind schedule, over-budgeted, and exhausted.
Sean, on this journey, bought a “train wreck of a house” in Richmond. He and Sam Sutton worked on their 150-year-old farmhouse, trying to turn it into their dream home.
According to Sam, she and Sean kept their HGTV filming a secret until the premiere date. “We’ve been secretly filming a new show of our house remodel for HGTV since 2019 … It’s been a whirlwind, and we can’t wait to watch,” she posted on her IG.

Sean Kilgore and Sam Sutton officially started their story on January 12, 2014.
Looking back on their adventures, Sean shared that all these years spent together with Sam felt like 5 mins as well as 100 years all at the same time and their life had just started. No wonder, he popped the question to her in April 2021.
Yes! The pair weren’t married. “Waiting for Instagram to crash when everyone realizes they’ve been assuming we’re married already,” Sam wrote over IG after their engagement.
Also, the lovebirds only moved in together in June 2021.

Talking a little about Sam, she is a Detroit-based wedding photographer who loved documenting love stories. Sam started her photography journey over her summer break. And although it took a while to believe she could become a full-time photographer, once she realized the joy she got out of it, she was unstoppable.
Sam was also included in the “The 9 Best Engagement Photographers in Detroit” list by Peerspace. According to them, before Sam takes her photographs, she wants to know her subject’s story. Then, she can depict it faithfully.
