The Ultimatum: Queer Love is a follow-up to Netflix’s The Ultimatum: Marry Or Move On, which aired on the platform in 2022. The first queer season of the show features ten women as five couples as they enter the show to find out if they will get married or get separated instead at the conclusion of the experiment. Vanessa Papa, whom we are about to talk about in this writing, and Xander Boger are one of the five original couples/cast featured on the show hosted by JoAnna Garcia Swisher.

Not so long after The Ultimatum: Queer Love introduced its ten cast members, Vanessa Papa stood out as the messiest single to appear on the show. Somehow she made it clear that she is the most dramatic cast member.
After Vanessa’s partner Xander asked her to marry her, they decided to go on the Netflix show to test their relationship.
But, once in the game, Vanessa unexpectedly shook things up by eagerly launching herself at all potential partners. To make things as complex as possible, she targeted both Lexi and Rae as her top two choices. Lexi and Rae had just broken up for the show. They seemed extremely uncomfortable when Vanessa pursued both of them at the same time, often in front of each other. But, just as she had started Vanessa quickly destroyed her likely romance with Lexi after saying she was not ready to grow close to someone else.

Are Vanessa Papa And Xander Boger Still Together?
Vanessa Papa and Xander Boger’s respective social media activities implied that they are no longer together as of May 2023. Not only do they not follow one another on Instagram or seem to have maintained contact in any manner, one of them even created a new profile not long ago.
Also, while Vanessa returned from Hawaii to Los Angeles, California, sometime in 2022, the latter went back to working as a physical therapist based out of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. So, it seems the experiment just did not work for them.
In the show, Vanessa is seen as the receiver of Xander’s ultimatum. Unlike Xander, who is ready to settle down, she looked fearful of losing her freedom through marriage. Yet, in the show, it was also made known that she had not spent more than three days apart from Xander since initiating their relationship four years ago. More than once, she also voiced that despite loving Xander, she never envisioned a long-term relationship. She just did not seem to be looking for permanency. Unlike marriage which generally looks like stability, she said, she would rather like to have freedom.
