Caroline Gutierrez was one of the 11 chefs who competed on Netflix’s cooking competition show Pressure Cooker. The show premiered on 6 January 2022 with 11 talented chefs preparing what they prepare best and judging each other. The show has been hailed as the mix of Top Chef and Big Brother. The first season of the show featured a number of talented chefs who dazzled viewers with their skills and tactics while residing in the same home. The show was reportedly filmed in Los Angeles, California.
In the show, Caroline formed a close bond with fellow contestant Sergei. But, we have to clarify that he is not a couple with the latter. Two of the chefs, Sergey and Caroline, formed something of a “working husband/working wife” dynamic and quickly become a powerhouse on the show.

Miami native Caroline Gutierrez moved away ten years ago to pursue her interests. She discovered her true affinity for cuisine at that time. While residing in Los Angeles, Gutierrez realized that a career in the culinary arts was her best option, so she enrolled in Le Cordon Bleu. She started earning her stripes in Michelin-rated restaurants both before and after college, immediately immersing herself in the world of becoming a chef.
Caroline has experience working at prestigious restaurants in Los Angeles, Spain, and most recently, Atlanta families as a private chef. Before starting her own company in Atlanta, Caroline worked her way up the kitchen food chain from commiss to head chef. Gutierrez is an ever-learning chef with a “use all” no-waste mentality, she loves to express herself in the kitchen, bringing comfort food with a global twist to every plate she presents.
Now she runs her restaurant C + M with her husband Matthew. The husband-wife duo now runs C + M. Matthew brings to the table an experience in the restaurant industry. He brings a zealous and diverse culinary background to every dish he plates. Matthew began his career in the restaurant industry at just 14 years old, washing dishes and learning to love the gratification behind delivering a fantastic meal.
He experienced several facets of restaurant operations – including bussing, serving, and cooking on the line – before attending Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington, N.C., where he obtained an associate degree in Culinary Applied Sciences. Following graduation, Ryder dove further into the kitchen as chef consultant, head chef, sous chef, and most recently Executive Chef at the former Upscale Italian Restaurant, Donetto in Atlanta. Ryder enjoys expressing his artistic and culinary passions through inspired and intelligent menus.
