Marianela “Lulu” Gonzalez and her sister were still involved in “The Amazing Race” season 33 as of early Feb 2022. They were among the returning teams. Other returning teams joining them were Kim and Penn, Akbar and Sheri, Ryan and Dusty, and Raquel and Cayla. So far, there are only two teams who made it to the final and of course “Lulu & Lala” is one of the two.
The other teams who they were competing against were Natalia Kumar and Arun Kumar, father-daughter pair in season 33.
Speaking exclusively with Distractify, the twins dished on the Best ‘Amazing Race’ behind-the-scenes moment. Lulu confirmed the intensity of the race. She added that what you see on the TV is what you’ll encounter. The contestant doesn’t know what they are doing and meanwhile, they are trying to figure it out while doing so.
The twins added that while watching the show at home you know what you’re looking for but on the set, the race blinds the contestant.

They revealed that dating could be complicated but in a fun way. Plus, the boyfriend shouldn’t have any problems hanging out with twin her sister because the twin sisters spent 90 percent of their time together.
Not only that, but their boyfriend has to get along with the other twin and shouldn’t have any problem with the other twin being around. Because the twin works together and lives together it is a must if they want to duet Marinela. Her sister Lala has a boyfriend. Her boyfriend didn’t understand why they texted each other so much because they practically lived with each other.
In the video, Lala shared that her ex was a groupie. All he ever wanted was to be backstage and life that they thought just because you’re in radio it’s glamorous and luxurious.
Meanwhile, Lulu confirmed being private about her relationships. She doesn’t fancy dating and has been in only two relationships, ever. Plus, the twin doesn’t ask much besides great time and respect and while they are often perceived as intimidating, they cleared the air saying they are not.
About the type of man they are looking for, first thing first, he has to have faith in god. The second thing they look for is the way that the way they treat their mom because if they aren’t treating her right, there is no hope for them in that relationship. And the last thing is, the guy having his life sorted. If not getting the things together, at least on the process to get there.
