Life Below Zero: Port Protection, is a spin-off or technically a continuation of Port Protection Alaska, a NatGeo series that first premiered in 2015 and has aired ever since in several installments.

For Breanna and Oliver, who have known each other since middle school, a big draw to moving out to Port Protection was to be able to own their own place at their age. (Of course) they also wanted to say all that they own is because of the hard work they have put in.
Joining Breanna and Oliver on this journey are OGs of the show: Mary Miller and Sam Carlson; and Morgan and Carl Hernandez, a newcomer couple in season 5. While Mary and Sam have been a part of this stint for some time, Morgan Turcott is a new face who has recently realized that she prefers to opt for Port Protection life over the paycheck to paycheck living. (Her partner Carl has lived on Port Protection his whole life.)

On this occasion, Breanna, 26, was charged for parking within 15’ of a fire hydrant and parking in a no-trespass area. Another time in 2015, she was summoned for retaining undersized commercial Dungeness crab.
